Meet Your Instructor
Shelly Murriel, RN, RAC-CT, is a Director of Clinical Reimbursement with more than 25 years of experience in long-term care, MDS, Medicare reimbursement, Medicaid case mix, regulatory compliance, and survey readiness.
Shelly has trained nursing home leaders, MDS coordinators, directors of nursing, and interdisciplinary teams across multiple states. She is the founder of Elite MDS Consulting LLC, a BELTSS Approved Education Provider, author of Audit-Ready MDS Systems for Nursing Home Leaders, and a 2026 presenter for the Ohio Health Care Association (OHCA).
Her practical, real-world approach helps healthcare leaders strengthen documentation systems, improve reimbursement accuracy, reduce survey risk, and build sustainable compliance processes.
Shelly currently serves as Director of Clinical Reimbursement overseeing MDS and reimbursement operations across multiple skilled nursing facilities.
